I often wonder if the concept of ’security’ is not a crypto-fascist altar on which to sacrifice human liberties. Why , oh why, are left wing governments suffering from this ailment? Do they know human nature so well that they know we cannot be trusted? In Brockwell Park they have torn up two cricket pitches because someone may get hurt when playing. Security gone mad.
