Less than 1 in a 1000 suicide attempts are successful. Most are not really attempts at suicide at all. This looks like a typical example. Let’s face it slashing one’s wrists by a pool full of people is hardly going to work is it?
The local town council said the 35-year-old man tried to slash his wrists on the edge of the pool on Wednesday afternoon.
A council spokesman said about 80 primary school children were in the water at the time and staff quickly got them out of the water.
